Mr. Baan’s Mookata is a place to gather and share unique cocktails, wine, and spirits while feasting on charcoal grilled Thai barbecue. The concept is inspired from Yotaka’s (Sunny) uncle - Mr. Baan - who is the life of the party and loves all things food and drink.

Mookata translates to “pork on a grill” and is a cook-it-yourself barbecuing experience. It consists of a domed grill surrounded by a moat of broth, which is enriched by the drippings of the meat. Our mookata set comes with various marinated meats, vegetables, eggs, and dippings sauces, and you can even add on special ingredients! The mookata experience is available by reservation or limited walk-ins. This is an outdoor experience. We have misters when it’s to and heaters when it’s cold!
Ping Yaang
Ping yaang are charcoal-grilled dishes that are a drink’s best friend. Smoky and delicious, they’re available both at the bar and as an add-on to your mookata set.

As Mookata is a meat based experience, we are unable to accommodate vegan or vegetarian diners. The meal contains beef, chicken, pork, and eggs.

While we love dogs, it is not. Trained service animals are welcome.

We don’t allow outside food or drink in our restaurant.

We do not provide valet services at Lom Wong. There is available street parking, as well as paid parking on Moreland and 3rd Street and Portland and 1st Street.
